Los Muertos is a huge expanse of sand, dominated by sun loungers. Here the swimming is safe, the sea is always warm and there are sports activities, such as jet-skiing or scuba diving for the more athletically inclined. Don’t miss the special ‘straight-friendly’ cruises which take you for a swim in some beautiful, hard-to-reach coves, swimming with dolphins or whale-watching.
The ‘Zona Romantica’ comprises Los Muertos and the Old Town, so it’s easy to escape the hustle and bustle of the beach for a bout of shade and shopping in the small picturesque alleys of the colonial centre when the sun gets too strong for your liking.
There are Mexican gay visitors, primarily from Guadalajara which is the big city inland, but American tourists (OK, Canadian too) make up the overwhelming majority. So this is a place to mostly meet and mix with hunks from California, beef from Texas and gym-bunnies from New York.
Choices, choices..
Sharing your experience about Los Muertos really helps other gay travellers.
